Testimonials:
"Emma is above all a keen observer and astute listener. These gifts enable her to approach each student’s needs with no predisposition and to help forge success for all according to individual strengths and challenges. In addition to her academic guidance, Emma brought joy and humor to the process, even when there was a struggle." - Todd J., author/educator
"Emma is personable and managed her responsibilities with a high degree of discipline and dedication. She has developed a challenging and creative curriculum for our middle school students." - Deborah B., administrator
I'm currently working towards an advanced certification in College Advising at the Teacher's College, Columbia University. I received my undergraduate degree in History from Kenyon College, and I earned a certification in teaching English as a Second Language from Seattle University. My husband and I lived abroad and across the southeastern US for 15 years. We moved our family back to Litchfield County, Connecticut where we both grew up, in 2015. We have a daughter (age 20), a son (age 16), and two sweet doodles.
