CT Homeschool Network (CHN) is Connecticut’s statewide information and support network. We are an independent, online-based homeschooling organization, which serves to inform, empower, and foster community among home educators in the state of Connecticut. As of 2013, CHN has thousands of families as members. CHN is completely inclusive, welcoming everyone of all races, religions, lifestyles, abilities and disabilities, and learning methodologies.

"The purpose of Eta Sigma Alpha National Home School Honor Society shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among home school students. To achieve this purpose, Eta Sigma Alpha National Home School Honor Society shall provide opportunities for the development of leadership and service. Eta Sigma Alpha shall encourage the development of an intellectual climate that will stimulate the exchange of ideas and ideals, foster scholarship, and promote academic excellence. Eta Sigma Alpha shall also advocate homeschooling as a viable and successful educational methodology and act as a liaison for homeschooling to the general public, colleges/universities, and the media."

Home School Legal Defense Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children and to protect family freedoms. We provide homeschooling-related legal advice and representation to our 84,000+ member families, promote homeschool-friendly legislation at the state and federal levels, and offer information and resources to encourage and support all homeschoolers. HSLDA also provides a FREE, very useful and comprehensive guide for parents homeschooling their high schoolers.

NHELD, LLC examines and explains the history of the law pertaining to homeschooling, and the authority of parents to instruct their children from the inception of the Connecticut colony to the present. It is important to note that the governmental authority to regulate education, as well as all other issues not mentioned specifically mentioned in the Federal Constitution, is left up to the states. Therefore, each state's laws regarding homeschooling will differ.

NSHSS works to continuously provide scholarship opportunities to our members to defray the costs associated with college and life-changing educational programs. A variety of scholarships are available for high school students to support college tuition at the accredited college or university of the member’s choosing, study abroad programs and special leadership and skills development programs through NSHSS partners. This organization allows qualifying homeschoolers to participate.
