The CLEP

The CLEP (College Level Examination Program) is a group of standardized tests designed and administered by the College Board. These tests assess college-level knowledge in thirty-six subject areas and provide a means for earning college credits without taking college courses. Much like the AP exam, colleges and universities may grant course credit and/or permission to place out of an introductory college course based on a particular CLEP score. CLEPs are a great tool for homeschoolers to use as a means of identifying Honors level subject knowledge.
